At the hospital

Hu Yu went in for a "routine" check up this morning, and they had us go straight to the hospital, but not because it was an emergency. They just wanted to do a stress test to make sure the baby is ok. On the way there she started having contactions. Fast forward to two hours later and they have moved her to the labor and delivery wing of the hospital. I will keep you all updated! Thanks to Tim and Richard for helping out with tonights classes.

The Power of Play - Taking the FEAR Out of Movement

I was watching my son tonight while he "played". I was impressed at how he would squat down and effortlessly roll his hips into a squat progression and then back to standing - all while distracted by TV! He just moved however he wanted and his body just did whatever the Nervous System needed it to. Got internal rotation of the hip? Check. Lateral and anterior flexion of the spine? Check. Everything is going well read an interesting book you would like, "Lights out, sugar sleep and survival" I have been sleeping quite a bit more like avg 8-9 hours. Eating paleo, reading alot about eating and timing my carbs for performance. Cortisone levels look way down sleep was really the key I think bf is down around 15% and most importent pr's are falling. I will try and make it in to the next sat workout to talk to you about biosignature stuff. Hope all is well with you and your inlarged family.

I experimented with leading a platoon of 2LT's here at IBOLC through z-health drills after an all night ruck march. They seemed to like it, hopefully I'll be able to articulate some of the science. They were also all blown away by my ability to swivel my hips and move my upper back. There is a lot of mobility issues here.

I think we should start introducing crossfit sports to our workouts. such as playing basket ball and KB drills. So you play three minutes of B-Ball then do thirty swings and get back in the game. Or do like twenty layups and then twenty swings. We could incorporate this to any sport with any workout. Possibilities are endless.
